Cath B Member since May-30-07 1070 posts Nov-06-09, 06:15 PM (EST)   "how come we got it sooo wrong!"      Ok so I've just spent 2 hours in the freezing cold, watching fireworks and bonfires "celebrating" Guy Fawkes night (historical from someone trying to blow up the houses of parliament when the King was there yada yada yada....) anyway.... It's raining, cold and miserable weather...Kids complaining that they're cold and can't see the bonfires, yet in America, you have July 4th (summer, warm, bbq, picnics etc) for your Independence Day. Why couldn't Mr Fawkes try blow up Parliament in the flaming summer!!! Cath. Have you EVER been to England in the "summer" there is absolutely NOTHING (weather wise) to enjoy.... and lastly Sarah Beth ..... I'd LOVE to move to the States, especially somewhere like Texas or Montana.... or just somewhere with a sense of community Cath.
