Efy Member since Mar-1-06 4349 posts Nov-15-09, 08:23 AM (EST)   "Been away for 2 weeks - what is everyone up to?"      Hello everyone. I just had a vacation in Malaysia and have missed all the news. What is happening with everyone around here? I note that Maverick is available to some - I'm so jealous!!! I had a great time. I think I laughed - and I mean big massive belly laugh - every hour (except while asleep). The shopping was great (fantastic exchange rate!), and the food was excellent. The only downer was the extra-ordinary heat and humidity (lucky for a/c) but that is my only whinge. Except for a facial I had in the hotel spa - it ended at my belly button rather than my neck. In response to message #3      Hi Effy, glad you had a good holiday... does anyone else think its wild the way, Effy "pops" to Malaysia from Australia, Americans "pop" over to Jamaica or other states, we in the UK "pop" to Europe and yet I'm sure we all would love to "pop" over to each others short haul holidays Cath. Australia is so far away from everything that it takes effort and planning. Malaysia is a 7 + 1/2 hour 'pop' away. Nearest is New Zealand or Fiji - 3 hr minimum. Europe has it so much better... Eleanor - I saw the dedication. How delightful to see our names in print. I am so chuffed to share it with the lovely ladies here and of course, our favourite author. (Picture me with a silly grin on my face). Kay - I could have could have caught flies with my shocked open mouth as my 'facial' went south of my neck. Definitely not what I am used to...
