Was she only 18 or so, he was older and "just" divorced because he "couldn't father children" according to his wife? but the Girl ended up pregnant and lost the baby.... fast forward a couple of years and they get back together one night and she gives him the $100.00 back !!! "RE: cant remember the title" In response to message #1   The book is Betrayed by Love, Kate Walker is the girl and she's the sister of Tom Walker. She is shot covering a story and that's when Jacob Cane finds out about her up bringing and wants his money back and tells her he loves her. Kate is the best friend of Cane's niece and has loved him since she was a teenager.
