King asks his friend/neighbour Elissa to pretend to be his lover to scare off his sister-in-law, Bess, without hurting her feelings. He has known Bess since his teens when she first started dating his little brother, Bobby. During their marital difficulties, Bess turns more to King. Bobby and Bess don't have their own story.
