"Yesterday's Scars - Carole Mortimer"
Just read this book, it's an old Mills and Boon (possibly from early 80's) and thought it was a lovely story.... and it reminded me a little of DP. - After three years' absence, Hazel was coming back to Cornwall to live once more- for a short time at least- under the unwelcoming roof of her stern cousin/guardian Rafe Savage. Unwelcoming-because after what had once passed between them Rafe had made it clear that Hazel had better keep her distance. And now, to add to his cold, aloof attitude, after an accident he was even more bitter and unforgiving, scarred in more than body.
How could Hazel convince him that he was utterly wrong about her - especially with his sister Celia doing her best to drive the wedge still further between them?
If you see a copy have a read it's a really nice story.

It sounds familiar. I think I may have read it in my very early teens. I will have to see if I can find a copy of it Alert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
