k75rodriguez Member since Mar-14-08 3 posts Sep-21-09, 01:30 PM (EST)   "LOOKING FOR A BOOK, HELP ME!!"      I have been trying to find this book, but so far noting. I can remember the story but not the title or author:If anyone can provide me the title and author i would be very grateful. Here is what I remember: It's a historical romance noval, it take place in the time of Custer.It's about a native american man who fell in love with a white women. But she was taken from him and hidden away by another man and in order for her not to be found she was given opium all the time. By the time the indian finds her its to late she becomes very ill and never recovers from it. Towards the end of the book as she is dying she asks him to take her outside for one last time and he takes outside, as she lays in his arm she makes him promise that he will go back to his people and fight, and he promised her that he will and then she dies in his arms and yells out in agunish. Also in the book if i'm not mistaken their son also falls in love. he walks with a limp and his women some how ends up in the desert and loses their baby and she ends up burying their baby in the desert. That's all i can remember. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME. I READ THIS BOOK BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL IT WAS SOMEWHERE AROUND THE 90'S.
