"GOOD Guys!!!"

I loved your discussions about favorite bad guys--but face it, most of them started out as bad guys for a variety of reasons. I just started John Callister's story and love him already. Of course, he was already lovable in "Circle of Gold", Gil and Kasie's story. I also really liked Cash almost from the start. And I already enjoy Rick Marquez, Hayes Carson, and Harley Fowler and can't wait for their stories. Which hero captured your heart almost from the beginning of the story. Who do you want to read more about?

I love pretty much all of the guys, and I can't wait til Christmas when we get Harley's story! There is a long list we have that we want stories about, including Duke Wright, Hayes Carson, the Grier brothers (we love Cash & Garon), Jon Blackhawk, Rick Marquez, Barbara from the cafe, Mr. Smith (& Tiny), The General (from Heartless), etc.

All good choices! I forgot about "El General". I would enjoy his story---but honestly, I hope it doesn't get TOO involved with the drug wars/government over-throwing business. I hope Rick's story comes first though!

I love all of those guys and can't wait for their stories but how about Grange and Peter Stone, who owe Carrera a favor already. I know we all could keep her busy with our list but which ever one comes out I will be ever so thankful to read

Gotta love Matt Davis from Savage Heart, I had just recently got my hands on a copy of this book and I have to keep reading it. I don't usually like historical but boy can DP write them too. Matt is at the top of my list of favorite good guys

I'd say Marcus Carrera, Cash Grier, Jon Blackhawk, Kilraven, Hayes Carson, Blake Kemp and yes Boone Sinclaire. Although he really upset me the way he accused Keeley and kanoodling with his brother based on that doctered photo! But alas, thing turned out the way they should have. Hooray for a happy ending.

Marcus Carrera was so sweet from the beginning..

But the one who stole my heart from the beginning was Carson Wayne (Cattleman's choice) he is so sweet and she is so blind!!!!!!

Chocolate is the answer..no matter what the question is.

My favorite good guys of all time are Cy Parks, all the Hart Brothers but Leo is my absolute favorite, Judd Dunn one of the hottest she EVER wrote about, and Jason Donavon from Diamond Spur are just a few. Of course she also has let me down with a few others as well such as Cash Grier and Harley Fowler. She built these two up in other books so much that I just couldn't wait to read the stories and then when I did....I was completely let down.

I wasn't let down by Cash but I agree with you on Harley. Harley's story reminded me of Guy Fenton or Luke Craig's stories. Too much going on and getting together too fast and way too short.

I wouldn't say I was disappointed with Harley's story.... I'm glad she didn't "do a Rodrigo" on him, I just felt it was too short.. there was no mention of his dancing... Alice's character although was funny, didn't have the substance I would have thought she could have been given . I did love the book, it was just a case of .. Oh it's finished, when I got to the end A bit of a sudden end.

Cath.

I love DP's books, but I tire of the over use of the same story lines, i.e. near death, life support and hero talking her back to life, use of same phrases such as "people have been doing this for years, if it didn't feel good, noone would do it"
Also, for strong long, tall texans...the heroes have so much PRIDE that it makes them extremely cruel to whomever they love.
I would like to see stronger female characters and more male heroes that have a big, kind (not cruel) heart.

In regards to the last comment if you read real close to her stories the heroine are strong such as Miranda in Harden stood up to him a couple of times and Coreen in Regan's Pride did not take his abuse and left. Yes the women have went through things but they are strong because of it. You just have to listen to what you are reading.

Tippy was definitely a strong female lead, and while Cash was cautious, anytime he was unkind, Tippy understood his feelings. The only time he really let her down was when Rory was kidnapped, but even then he called to make sure everything was alright.
