"At Winters End"
I just read this title on the board and have not heard of the book. Why does Ms. Palmer not want it re-printed anytime soon? What is the subject matter? I too appreciate the work Amy is doing for Ms. Palmers fans.
Thank you for your response in advance.

Diana wrote the book as a teenager and she really does not think it is a very good book. She said to read Now and Forever. That she basically took At Winters End and improved it and the result was Now and Forever.
She gave the rights to have the book republished to her son Blayne with the understanding that it could not be reprinted in her lifetime.Alert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Amy, Do you know of any place that sells At Winter's End. It's the only one of Diana's books that I don't have. Thanks.

If I did I would have a copy myself. I have had people tell me they have copies but I really don't know of anyone who does have a copy except for Diana and one lady named Ros who was on the board years ago. Diana gave her a copy many years ago for encourageing her to get the rights to the MacFadden's back.
I hope to find a copy one day at a estate or garage saleAlert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Thanks, Amy. Maybe we'll both get lucky and find copies. I've certainly tried. Alert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Amy, I just posted my wants for this book before I saw this. I'm sorry to hear that Diana does not want it reissued in her life time. It is now the only book of Diana's I do not have, not counting new releases. I don't have a favorite DP book - I love ALL of her books!! I am in the process of rereading them all for the third time and in order. Please let Diana know that I hope she stays healthy and strong and can continue to write her stories we all love.
thank you too Amy for this web site. It is wonderful!!!
Love too both of you!
Linda
