I think one of my favourites is in Diamond Girl, when Kenna is in the lift with Regan and he makes a comment about not raping her and she replies that "twenty five year old virgins aren't much in demand" just as the lift doors open to a little old lady who used to think Kenna was a sweet, moral girl!

The one that stands out for me is in 'Rawhide Man' - after Jude kidnaps Bess and says that they will have a marriage of convenience because she is too thin and doesn't appeal to him.
Bess quips back - I'll get down on my knees and give thanks for small blessings.
Jude's wicked reply - You're the one with small blessings, all right.

Another line I liked was in Lawless when Judd admits that he hasn't touched another woman since they married and Crissy says "it's been five years" to which Judd replies " I Know" !

My favorite line is in The Tender Stranger when Dutch calls Dani frumpy and she says to him: "Who do you think you are big bad soldier, god's gift?"

Hello Everyone:

If I remember correctly, my favorite book is Lord of the Desert and I like the part where Gretchen has been kidnapped and she escapes from the tent where they have her hostage and Phillip rescues her on horseback. He tells her how mad he is and that he could not possible be gentle with her if he makes love to her and she responds:

" I would not care how you make love to me! "

Or something like that she responds... Wew!! that is HOT! lol

I just love the whole desert Sheik thang!

I love Man of Ice when he calls her and he's drunk. He tells her that they will only make love in the dark and she can't look at him while they do it. He rants some more then he goes on to tell her that he loves her but he doesn't want her to know.

Another great scene from that book is when he throws her clothes out the hotel window when she says she gonna leave and she has no other clothes with her, lol.

This is one of my favorite books of all time!

One of my favorite's in when Gretchen ask Phillip "if he wants to see her book collection". I remember laughing so hard at that.

I know this is probably one of those that's needs a qoute from a dp book so I'll give two of each.
My all time fave is from a Elizabeth Lowell book called Warrior and the qoute goes, "I think, in military terminology, Neveda just executed a strategic disengagement," Eden said aloud. "Ordinary folks would call it a retreat." Also in the same book was this one, "That was the second thing I noticed about you in West Fork. Your smile. Not a bit of calculation in it. Generous." "My smile was the second thing, huh? So what was the first thing you noticed?" "I'm a man," Nevada said dryly. "What do you think I noticed?" "That I was wearing a quilted down jacket?" Eden suggested, her voice as dry as his. "Yeah, something like that. Then you started walking. You move like a woman." "Nevada, I am a woman."
In Dp Books my two faves are in the book Callaghan's bride. They are "Could you possibly question him later, after you've got him off me?" she urged. "He weighs a ton." 2. "How could you manage to support yourself?" he asked realistically. "I could get something part-time, at the school." "And who'll bake biscuits for us?" he asked softly. :and worry about us when we're tired? Whoo'll remember to set the alarm clocks and remind me to clean Herman's cage? Who'll fuss if I don't wear my raincoat?" he added affectionately.
Then there is always the qoutes out of her books when the male is like I thought I told you to resist me and the woman is like I am can't you tell. Those parts are always great.

Another I just thought of from Carrera's Bride. Was when Deliah told Marcus that she was Bossomed Challeneged and he said that most men like the opposite of what should appeal to them.

Mine would be in Heart of Stone when Keely was in the ER fighting for her life and Boone storms in and on of the techs was say "Pity about those scars," and Boone asked looking at Keely "What scars?" that there was the moment when you knew he loved her for her and not the scars that had mangled her poor body. That was so close to home for me because I was in a serious car accident and had to have multiple surgeries to fix my lower part of body from multiple injuries and my husband is like that he does not see the imperfections at all. You just got to love a hero like that.

I think it's in LORD OF THE DESERT when Philippe want to disgust Gretchen showing her the scars on his body and when he get naked in front of her, she doesn't see them. Instead she tell him that now she understand why he hurt her the fist time they made love..

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning dancing in the rain.

I loved the part in Fearless, when Rodrigo sees Glory in the courtroom and realizes who she really is....that she would fit into his lifestyle quite well....since she is "elegant and chic" and all

Then after they talk and he gets ready to leave and says, "It was good to see you again." Glory responds, "Was it? Pity I can't return the compliment. I'd hoped that I'd never have to see you again as long as I lived."

Now that's a comeback worthy of a Palmer heroine. Good for you Glory!!! I'd have said the same thing, and then some

I like it that Rodrigo did redeem himself in the end, though----the house, new rings, flowers, candy, serenading, and of course the apology and his declaration of undying love....

Guess all's well that ends well.
