My choices are.. for crying..
Diana Palmer Lawless, Maggies Dad
Michelle Reid House of Glass, The Marriage Surrender
Penny Jordan ... Love, Honour and Betrayalfor laughter.... quite a few of Diana Palmers have light hearted moments
but I couldn't really name a book that made me laugh right through..

Good question... To cry: Patient nurse (gets me every time
), Rawhide and Lace, Case of the mesmerizing boss.
To laugh: all of Diana's books have funny moments - I think it's her signature style.
![]()
To laugh and cry: Morcai Battalion - the prison chapter - I am sure I jumped up with my fist in the air, crying 'Yessss!'
![]()
Other authors: W-A-Y too many to mention here...

Boy thats a hard one. I would say out of Diana's book as fas as crying it would be Amelia and After the Music.
As for laughing it would be Lord of the Desert (I love when she shows him her book collection).

For crying and laughing: Marley & Me by ? (a guy, can't remember his name) For always laughing: any of the Miss Julia series of books by Ann Ross. Hysterical.
In Diana's books: I hated it when Tiffany's dad died in "The Princess Bride". I cheered when Erin told Ty off in front of his ranch hands in "Rawhide and Lace". I laughed when Hank fainted in the delivery room in "Paper Husband". There are so many, I can't name all the other ones.

For me, Patient Nurse made me cry. And as for laughing, I think every DP book I've read made me chuckle. I think she always throws in a little humor with her books. Justin's book had me laughing when he was singing that spanish song with all the bad words in it. I just love the way DP can make you cry and laugh all in the same book. Missy

One of the books that has moved me the most emotionally would have to be Vows: LaVyrle Spencer. I laughed and cried throughout the book. Highly recommended, but keep tissues close by. ![]()
As for Diana's books, it is hard to choose b/c she has written so many books that have affected me in many ways. Mostly they make me mad
or they make me laugh
, but I love them all.

Hi Nell, can you give a book description for Hot November: Ann Charlton? Thanks! If you like books about firefighters I have two books to suggest. The first one is Mr. November: Lori Foster. It is the 3rd book in her Men To The Rescue series about a cop, a paramedic and a firefighter. Here is a blurb for the book.
Firefighter Josh Marshall wants Amanda Barker! And she wants him--to pose for her calendar. When they get together to talk it over, Josh sees beyond Amanda's cool, uninvolved exterior. He knows that she is emotionally scarred from something in her past and that she is fighting her feelings for him because she thinks she doesn't deserve anything good in her life.
Josh's heart breaks every time her pain surfaces and once he realizes he loves her he accepts his fate & determines to make her happy. The second book is by Sherryl Woods: Sean's Reckoning. It is the 2nd book in her 5 book series about 5 brothers who are separated when the parents take off with the two youngest sons who are 2 year old twins and leave the older three brothers who are ages 4, 6 & 8 in foster care. Sean is a firefighter. Here is a blurb for Sean's Reckoning.
Son of a shattered family, fireman Sean Devaney knew love never lasted—so he refused to chance it. Then he encountered scrappy but vulnerable single mom Deanna Blackwell and her pint-sized son—who had just lost everything in a devastating fire...
Despite the warning in Sean's had, he had to protect this struggling waitress and her spunky kid. But who knew that mother and child would take chinks out of the armor around his heart? A tower of testosterone, Sean was tough enough to storm burning buildings. But was he brave enough to risk building a family?Enjoy!

I just started reading Sarah's Child by Linda Howard-now that is one man you could just slap several times to "snap him out of it" when it comes to the baby being born and him trying to live in the house as if the baby did not exist! I mean I can understand his grief and all but if he loved his wife how could he suggest she get rid of a baby that's a part of her (and him too.)? Sheila

Oh, so many moving books to choose from. I'd have to say recently it is the Virgin River Series by Robyn Carr. Each and every one made me cry. One of them made me sob like a baby. Excellent reads!

I have to say 'Lover Awakened' by J.R. Ward its part of 'The Black Daggar Brotherhood' series. Most of her books in the series are really emotional. This book made me cry tears of sadness and joy. Alert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I think every book i read at "that" moment moves me the most. but if i had to pick a book it would have to be "Fearless" with Rodrigo Ramirez and Gloryanne Barnes. Their story was just sad all the way around, it was like neather one of them could get a handel on there relationship, and it was just soooo sad ![]()

I simply *love* Diana Palmer's books. I've been reading them since the early '80s. All of my books got destroyed, so I've been restocking my DP library. Crying: Definitely Maggie's Dad - probably because of the subject matter.
Laughing: DEFINITELY Emmett. Those kids and Emmett are *hilarious*!!
Although, I must say that my kids would never have been allowed out of the house if they behaved like that!![]()
