What was senator Mosby Torrance's secret that he could be blackmailed for? If he is not gay? Alert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I think it's a mystery, that DP didn't actually confirm what it was but Amy should be able to give you any info you need.

I still wonder about that, but i do remember that he was not gay cause during the marriage he was attracted to his wife, it was mentioned that he really wanted her but he just couldn't... Alert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

According to the book he's gay. Which is why his marriage was such a disaster. I'm almost positive. Alert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I think there was a question of his "gender"... it was mentioned that He was going to have "a little surgery done".... I don't think he was gay. Cath.

John, Tira's first husband was gay. In After Midnight I think the first husband had a deformity or an injury. Mimi

That's true. But I'm almost certain he may have had some sort of disfunction which was propabaly why things ended the way they did. But the story kind of eluded to him having some kind of sexual problem. Alert | IP Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I was reading this book by Diana Palmer last week when I found another copy in a used bookstore-this one by Susan Kyle. I was surprised to find that there were some differences between the two. In Kyle's book, Kane's mistress went by "Christy", Cortez met Derrie before Phoebe(her sister's step-daughter), and Nikki's first husband was the Secretary of Interior named Miles Townsend. In this version, her ex IS gay. That was the secret he was trying to hide in the first book. In the Palmer version, he is Senator Mosby Torrance and his black mailer thought he was gay but it was not true. Mosby felt this being considered gay was preferable to the truth, which was never stated clearly. It was just implied that it was something that was incredibly humiliating, prevented his consummating his marriage and required "discreet surgery".
Did anyone else notice that his deceased son was named David in the beginning but was called Teddy at the end of the book?
