"Question regarding worth of books"
I am so sorry if I posted this in the wrong area but I was hoping for a reply today. In your opinion exactly how much would you be willing to pay for Tangled Destinies, Color Love Blue, Dark Surrender, White Sand Wild Sea and Rage of Passion? Ive seen some listed for sale- for quite a bit of money and though I am hesitant to pay that much I am desperate to own them. Im sure my husband would kill me if he found out I purchased these for the asking price but hey they may be priced higher the next time I see them for sale.
So thank you in advance for your help.Sky

Honestly....not much over $10 for any of the first ones...and Rage of Passion...a couple of dollars. If I may suggest....explore Goodwill, Salvation Army, used bookstores, junk shops, second hand shops and you will find 'MOST' of them. Oh...and rummage sales, too. It will take time, but you can find them.

I agree with Jody. Color Love Blue is the only DP book that should cost you more that that because it is so hard to find. I payed $20 for it in 1999. Now it usually cost more than that to get a copy Printer-friendly page | Top

I refuse to pay any more than 20$ tops for her earlier books. The most I've paid so far is twelve dollars and that was on Albris.com and amazon 12$. As for the titles you mentioned their really pricey, some people want 35$ sometimes more for her books. I saw one that wanted 235$ for one of her books! As much as I adore Diana aka Susan I'm not willing to part with that much money unless it's going directly to the author and it's publisher. Some people out there believe we're desperate and will pay anything for a book. As much as I adore DP I'm not willing to pay the earth for a book just to say I have it or even add it to my collection.
Besides, my husband wouldn't be at all pleased. Sigh, so I just borrow the books from my local library and return it after I've read it. Hope you have better luck then I've had in finding reasonably priced books. Because they're really hard to find, believe me I know.

Keep looking it took me a long time to find all of her books and I did pay quite a bit for Color Love Blue but not the rest of them. I kept a eye out every where I went and had family and friends looking too, my sister went on a business trip to Pittsburg and found a DP book for me at a yard sale, I found a lot of them at flea markets also. ![]()

Keep an eye out. I got all but Rage of Passion from someone on the bb who had to get rid of her books, so I was lucky. Rage of Passion I found at a local used bookstore. Try amazon, abebooks.com, etc. Sarah Beth

Thanks, I didnt buy the books since they were so over priced especially since you say its not worth that much. Unfortuantly I think there is only one other person in my county who cares for DP books and they dont collect- only occasionally buys when it hits the shelves. Ive tried the local flea markets and I hit all the yard sales with no luck. Ive never seen a DP book around here. With 3 preemies in the house I am unable to travel outside the county to search for her books so I resort to the internet and the ones I dont have yet are listed for alot of money on ebay. I used to have a bunch but my husband accidently did away with them. I nearly killed him for that. Ive been recollecting the past year but still need a bunch.Sky

You do have your hands full with 3 preemies. You may want to try abebooks.com for some of Diana's books, you may can find them a little cheaper there than on ebay. Printer-friendly page | Top
